Our founder, Lee Paler, was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss in 2008. After extensive research and years of testing, Lee founded Auditory Sound Waves, Inc. a company dedicated to hearing improvement and tinnitus reduction. He discovered one of the underlying problems associated with hearing loss and tinnitus was neural inflammation. So, he started to remove anything in his life that could possibly contribute to the inflammation. He changed his diet, the foods he ate, and the beverages he drank. All vitamins, supplements, and drugs needed to be evaluated. Removal of petrochemicals and plastics is at the top of that list. He created a toxin-free environment for himself, with only organic food, only distilled charcoal purified water, and the elimination of any non-natural products. As his personal care regimen completely changed, he found that he could not find a suitable toothpaste replacement. So as a chemist, he decided to develop his own. He spent the last year minimalizing toothpaste formula ingredients by only using what’s absolutely necessary to make the product both efficacious and aesthetically pleasing. And Earth & Body Wise was born!
Earth & Body Wise products and packaging are formulated and manufactured without petrochemicals or plastics whenever possible. Using only essential ingredients with minimal negative health impacts. Our goal is to help improve personal health by using safer, more natural ingredients, and less plastic and petrochemicals. And by using less toxic and harsh ingredients, less pollution bioaccumulates in the environment! It’s a win-win!
Sustainability
At Earth & Body Wise, we are dedicated to positively contributing to a better future for our planet. By eliminating toxic and harsh ingredients including plastic and petrochemicals from both our product and packaging we are able to reduce pollution bioaccumulating in the environment. There is over 300 BILLION pounds of plastic waste in our world’s oceans including over 1 billion toothpaste tubes. So how are we different?
Glass Jars Over Plastic Tubes - We only ever use glass jars. Why? Unlike plastic, glass is infinitely recyclable, looks great, and breaks down into sand at the end of its life.
Metal Spoon – Our metal spoons are made of recycled and recyclable alloy.
Boxes – Our boxes are made of fully recycled and recyclable cardboard.
Ingredients
When it comes to ingredients we keep things simple. We are committed to using only the highest quality ingredients, sourcing from local USA organic farms, and only including what is needed to create a natural, non-toxic, and effective toothpaste.
The entire list of toothpaste ingredients includes: Sodium Bicarbonate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Silica, Calcium Carbonate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, and Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil.
What’s not included: Fluoride, SLS or Sulfates, Parabens, Plastics, Artificial Preservatives, Petrochemicals, Artificial Sweeteners, Artificial Colors, Artificial Flavors, Carrageenan, Triclosan, Gluten, and PEG.
